ROOTS FOR DRAWING MONEY & PROSPERITY
Cross & Candle Spell
Cross & Candle Spell
Arrange seven nickles in the form of a cross. Place one white candle dressed with Money Drawing Oil on each of the four outer-most coins. Light the candles and Pray the 23rd Psalm (The Lord is my Shepard...) while focusing on your desire for more money.
When you are done, make your petition saying:"
"Just as Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes so that all were fed, so may my fortune increase so that all my needs are met. I ask this in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen."
Allow the coins to remain undisturbed until the candles burn out and then spend the coins as a "sacrifice" knowing that they will return to you in the form of more money.
Some sources say that white candles are used for a general increase in money, red candles bring money through marriage, and black candles for an inheritance.

Red Onion for Money
Burn the skin of a red onion to draw luck and prosperity into your home. Lore dictates that the onion should be stolen to do you any good, but it never hurts to do this with one you've paid for.
Money-Drawing Pentacle
Print out the Second Pentacle of Jupiter out on your computer. Write your name on its reverse three times, the cross and cover this with the word Prosperity. Finally, write the statement Money Come to Me, over and over around this forming a perfect circle. Blow a little powdered sugar (known to some as Drawing Powder) over the talisman, fold it towards yourself three times and keep this in your wallet or purse to draw money and peace of mind.
Trained-Hunting Money
One common complaint that I often hear is "I want to do such and such, but I don't have the money." My advice to these people is while you're waiting to save money, why not train the money you DO have to go out and get more money for you. The technique of training hunting money was first introduced to me by Cat Yronwode through her website and her directions for training your money can be found here.
A Traditional Money-Hand
The Success Sigil
Obtain a two-dollar bill and write the success-sigil in the four corners. In the bottom right corner, under the Secretary of the Treasury's signature write your own name.
Anoint the four corners of the bill with money-drawing oil and smoke it in money drawing incense making your petition for financial success. Similarly, anoint a whole nutmeg with money drawing oil and smoke it in incense as well.
When you are done, lay the two dollar bill length wise in front of you. Place the nutmeg on top of the bill at the point furthest away from you. Fold the two-dollar bill over the nutmeg rolling it towards yourself as you call money, wealth, and success to you.
Place the packet in a red mojo bag. Anoint it with money drawing oil and smoke it in money-drawing incense while praying the 23rd Psalm. Carry the mojo on yourself every day and anoint it with money drawing oil once a week.

How to Build a Better Business Bucket
You've heard about money-pots and how folks use them to draw wealth, prosperity, and luck into the home. However, today I am going to share with you how to build a money-pot to help your business grow and prosper.
You Will Need:
Preliminary: Preparing Your Lodestone
A pot made of a magnetic metal can drain the magnetism out of your lodestone so be sure to choose a pot that is either not-metallic or one that is non-ferrous (meaning that a magnet will not stick to the container). Prepare your lodestone by washing it with whiskey. Like a mojo-bag, it is traditional to give your lodestone a name since they are both considered to be living things. Dress your lodestone and tell it that it it will now continually draw money to your business.
Working the Root
Print your business logo out on a piece of paper and tear this into a square by hand without using any scissors. If your business does not have a logo, you may substitute your business card. If you don't have a business card, get one, but in the mean time use a regular piece of paper. Using a green (for money) or black pen (black relates to profit in accounting terms, i.e. "in the black) and write your petition over your logo. This may be written in the form of a key word such as "prosperity" or phrase like "money flow to [name of business]"
Alternately, this may be written in the form of a short prayer such as "With God's blessing may money flow to [name of business] now and always, in a steady stream from sources known and unknown so that all our needs are met and more. In Jesus name. Amen." When you are done, turn the paper / card a quarter turn and write your name and title over this nine times.
Dress the four corners and center of the paper with Money Drawing Oil and fold it towards you three times calling wealth, prosperity, and success to your business with each fold. Place the petition in the bottom of your container and fill the container about 3/4 of the way full with change.
Using your pen, draw the success sigil ($$¢¢$$) diagonally in the four-corners of each of the one-dollar bills and sign your name under the Secretary of the Treasury. One at a time place these on top of the change alternating between laying them in an "/" and "\" direction so that when you are done, your money will form an X so that your money will multiply.
Place your lodestone on top of the X of money, feed and feed it a little bit of magnetic sand. Call your lodestone by name and say "As I feed you, so will you now feed me and draw money to my business in a steady stream so that all its needs are met and more. In Jesus name amen."
Finally, place a shiny silver-dime on top of your lodestone. If you desire, you may wish to substitute a silver dollar for the dime. The silver dime is there to protect your money. Should the silver dime become tarnish, then you know that someone is either after your money or working to against you to keep money from coming to you. When this occurs, clean the dime and burn uncrossing and / or reversing candles near your money pot. You may also wish to place a whole, raw egg in your money pot to cleanse your money. Keep the egg there for three days and then carry it to a crossroads where you will toss it into the middle of the street where the two roads meet.
Placement of Your Pot
If your business is in a physical space accessible to the public, you may wish to keep your money pot near your cash-register but out of reach of customers. You don't want folks touching or messing with your lodestone or thinking that they can take change out of your money bucket to pay towards their purchase. If you desire, your money-bucket can be place behind the counter on a wall-shelf out of reach of customers.
If you work out of your home, you might want to keep your money-bucket near your front door to draw money or on top of your cash-box. If you conduct a great deal of business online, you may wish to keep your money-bucket near your computer.
As an aside, I actually know of one business owner who locks his money-bucket in his safe over night. You'll have to decide what is right for you with regards to keeping your money-bucket safe.
Working Your Bucket
The ten dollars will stay in your pot overnight where it will become magnetically charged with your intention and trained to bring more money back to you. After three days, you can spend it in such as way that it will benefit your business by using it to purchase office supplies, towards advertising, etc...
At the end of each day, take the paper-money that you took in that day and place it under the lodestone overnight. Leave any coins that you accepted as payment, tips, or which a customer did not wish to take (sometimes a customer will refuse pennies) in your money pot. This should be allowed to accumulate. Four times a year, at the change of the seasons, convert your coins from your money bucket into paper money, leave this under your loadstone and begin the process of building back up your coins. The following morning, place the paper money in your register or cash-box. It is a good idea, however, to always leave some kind of paper money under your lodestone at all times to remind it what it should be bringing back to you. This should at least be a $20.00 bill, but you may use whatever you have until you can afford to place a higher denomination under the lodestone. Ideally, your goal should be able to keep a $100.00 bill under the lodestone at all times.
Other Considerations
Here's a technique I borrowed from gypsy folk-magic practices. The silver-dime on top of your lodestone should lay on heads during the waxing moon to draw in money; and on tails during the waning moon to banish poverty.
You may also wish to prepare your business cards in a similar manner as training your money by placing a few of your business cards under the loadstone to attract customers. These may be handed out to customers, pinned on bulletin boards, or left in public places to attract more business to you. If you mail products out to customers, I also suggest that you send at least two cards with each package. One for the customer to keep and one for him or her to give away to someone to someone that they wish to recommend your products / services.
Again, if you desire, you may wish to place dried herbs such as chamomile and cinnamon in the bottom of your pot to increase its power; or dirt from a bank, casino, or other successful business so that your business will take on the success of the business whose dirt you have included in your pot.

ROOTS FOR PROTECTION
Anti-Candle Magic
Preliminary: Here is a ritual adapted from the Hyatt Material that can be used when someone is burning candles on your name to bring about confusion, cross-conditions, or bad luck in general. Before performing the ritual, you may wish to consider why you believe you are crossed up or have a divination performed to determine if you truly are the target of a magical attack. When performed successfully, the ritual provides relief from your enemies workings against you. It consists of three parts. 1) They are: Three Ingredient Bath, 2) Candle-Burning Rite, and finally 3) the burning of salt, sugar, and sulfur three times a week.
Three Ingredient Bath
Draw a bath that includes saltpeter, liquid bluing, and sugar. In the bath, pray the Lord's Prayer three times as you bath away from yourself. When you are done, step backwards out of your tub between two lit candles and dress in clean, white clothing. Do not dry off but rather air dry yourself.
Save some of your used bathwater and dispose of it at the nearest crossroads by throwing it over your left shoulder towards the East and walk away without looking back.
Candle-Burning Rite
Mark your name with a red-candle and anoint it with un-crossing oil. Stick three pins in the candle and make your prayer or petition as you sprinkle salt over the flame saying: "With God's blessing, may my enemy stop his evil work against me and let me be. In Jesus' name amen."
Light the candle and let it go to work for you. This should put an end to the enemy's work. If you wish to stop your work at this point, you may do so. However, if your enemy is a particularly strong one or has been particularly harsh with you, then you may wish to take a more aggressive approach with him or her and perform the second part of this spell which will render him or her sick and take away their strength.
Write their name on a piece of paper nine times. If you don't know the name of the person then simply write "my enemy". Next, take 3 pinches of salt in your palm and say the following over it: "With God's blessings, may the enemy who is working against me leave me alone. In Jesus' name. Amen." Spit in the salt and then wrap this up in your name-paper and place this under an over turned saucer.
Now, take a purple candle (for strength and power) and cut off its tip; turn it upside down and dig a new wick out of its foot. Mark the candle with their name or simply "my enemy" as before and dress it with Crossing Oil. Place the candle on top of the over-turned saucer with the name-paper underneath.
Light the purple candle and say: "With God's blessings, may the enemy who is working against me now let me be; and if they refuse may their strength and vitality decrease as this candle burns down. In Jesus' name. Amen."
Let your candles burn down and watch them for signs and messages. When they are consumed, inspect any leftovers for signs of success or failure of your work and then dispose of the ritual remains.
Salt, Sugar, & Sulfur
Thereafter, burn salt and sulfur three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This will act as an powerful incense to drive away your enemy and his or her evil messes. However, it should be noted that burning sulfur is highly toxic, therefore you may wish to burn a very small amount of sulfur (just a pinch) in a well ventilated area.
Alternately, lay a line of the powder down at all the entrances to your house and simply burn the salt and sugar alone.

ROOTS FOR REVERSING EVIL
Curse of the Mirrored-Box
A Mirrored-Box
The curse of the mirrored-box is a very old type of reversing spell used in folk magic traditions to send evil back to its source. The source is usually another individual who is attempting to work evil upon a victim.
There are several methods of constructing a mirror box. The most traditional method I know consists of purchasing, or otherwise obtaining, a new mirror. It is very important that you do not allow this mirror to capture your own reflection because you don't want to get any part of yourself mixed up in the spell. However, it can be very difficult (almost impossible) not to allow this to happen....unless you are invisible. The mirror is usually covered with a cloth and broken with a hammer or rock. Finally, the individual pieces are glued inside a box. The box can be made of anything such as a cheap chipboard box like those found in craft stores, a shoebox, a small jewelry box, etc....I have even known crafty practitioners who make their own boxes to resemble tiny coffins in which they place dolls.
Other methods of creating a mirror box include, but are not limited to, gluing one small mirror to the inside bottom and inside lid of a an altoids can, constructing a box from 6 mirror tiles (four walls, a ceiling, and floor) with the mirrored side pointing inwards. Alternately, if you are in a hurry you can simply press a person's photo, hair, name-paper, or other small personal concerns between two mirror tiles. The tiles can then be bound with cord, twine, or even tape (yes duct tape has its uses in the magickal world too.)
From there, The curse usually consist of ritually placing a prepared-doll, photograph, or other representation of the individual inside a mirror-box. The ritual can also include the burning of reversing candles and should be accompanied by one's sincere prayer that any evil the perpetrator is sending against you be directed back at him or her. In my own personal practices, I burn a prepared reversing candle on top of the box itself saying something along the lines of "[N], may all the evil you send to me now and forever return to you!" The candle is then allowed to burn down over the box, sealing the person inside, and setting the curse.
Some practitioners choose to only keep the person inside the box until they feel that the danger is passed or until the individual learns his or her lesson. In these cases, the doll is removed from the box and the box is destroyed. Other practitioners go a step further and take the mirror-box to a graveyard where they petition a spirit to guard over the box and keep the individual "down". Once a spirit has agreed to these terms, the box is buried at their grave along with payment.
As is the case with many curses, in the Hoodoo Tradition, it is very important that you consult with your divination tool, spirit guides, etc... to determine if this method is justified in your situation before you decide to invoke the Curse of the Mirrored Box.
Now, I can't share the Curse of the Mirrored Box with you, without also explaining the Reverse-Mirror Box Spell. The Reverse-Mirror Box Spell is similar to the Curse of the Mirror-Box in that it is a box which has been decorated with mirrors on the outside, rather than the inside. Some individuals create such a box by taking 6 mirror tiles and gluing them together to create a box with the mirrored-side facing out. Inside the box the individual would place a prepared doll, photograph, name paper, or written petition representing them self rather than another person. The purpose of such a mirror box is to protect the individual from any and all negativity that may be directed at him or her regardless of where it originates. However, some folks say that this type of box will also prevent you from receiving the blessings as well. It is up to the individual to decide if this type of protection spell is appropriate for their situation.

Reverse Evil Mojo Bag
Reverse Evil Mojo Bag
To make this mojo bag I would recommend that you begin with a cleansing spiritual bath that includes hyssop. If you can't get hyssop, then make up the following cleansing bath:
- 1/2 Cup of Salt
- 3 Tbsp Pine-Sol
- 1 Tsp Ammonia
When you are done, dress a reversing-candle with reversing oil saying:
"With God's blessing may all the evil directed at me now return to its source, that I may enjoy all the good that I am due. In Jesus' name. Amen."
Place the candle in a candle-holder and then write your name 9 times on a piece of paper torn on all four sides by hand. Anoint the four corners and center of the name-paper with Reversing-Oil and place your personal concerns in the center of the paper. Fold the name-paper away from you three times and set this under your candle. All the while you are doing these things, your thoughts and prayers should be focused on the intent of turning evil away from yourself. If it helps, repeat the prayer above over and over as a mantra.
Light your Reversing Candle and one by one place the following items in a mojo bag. As you place each item in the bag speak to it and tell it what you want it to do. In the case of the "hard" items such as the Silver Dime and Roots, anoint them with the reversing oil as you speak to them.
- 9 pieces of Devil Shoe-Strings

When you are done, anoint the bag with reversing oil and smoke it in incense, repeating the prayer above. Place the mojo bag near the reversing candle and earnestly pray the 34th Psalm several times with your intent in mind. When the candle is spent, remove the petition from under the candle, place it in the bag, and tie off the mojo-bag.
Carry the mojo-bag on your next to your skin for at least a week. Several times throughout the day touch it and repeat your prayer. Feed the mojo-bag a drop or two of Reversing or Protection type oil every Saturday.
ROOTS FOR DRAWING SEX
To Attract an Unknown Male Lover
To perform this spell you will need:
Working the Root: Begin by writing a brief description of the type of lover that you are interested in attracting. When you are satisfied with what you have written, turn the paper a quarter turn to the right and then write your own name 9 times crossing and covering the description as you go. When you are done, set the petition aside.
Carve the words "Unknown Lover" on the red penis-candle and anoint it with attraction oil as well. Set your candle on an overturned saucer with your petition underneath. Light the candle and fervently pray the scripture below nine times:
"Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits." ----Song of Solomon 4:16
As you pray the scripture, think about the lover you want to attract and the activities that you wish to perform. Allow the candle to burn out on its own and then inspect any left over wax for signs.
Note: If you don't have a penis-candle you can use any phallic-shaped red candle. To make this spell even more powerful you can dress the candle with your own sexual fluids.

To Call a Lover to Yourself
Preliminary: Whether you want to attract a sexual encounter with an, as yet, unknown person or call your friend with benefit to you without actually having to pick up the phone and call or text him----this spell is for you. Some of you may be wondering why you couldn't or wouldn't want to simply call your FWB to arrange an encounter and there are several reasons why this would occur. For example, he or she may be married and your lines of communication with them may be limited; or you want to turn a one-night-stand into a ongoing sexual relationship.
To perform this spell you will need a red-candle, two pins, pen and paper, and Kiss Me Now Oil. Kiss Me Now Oil is a spiritual product formulated to bring about fast luck in the area of sexual desire.
Begin by preparing a petition by writing the name of the person you wish to draw to you nine times on a square piece of paper and then crossing and covering this with your own name also nine times. If you don't have a specific person in mind, use the words "my lover." Alternately, you might want to use a short phrase describing the type of lover that you wish to attract. For example:
Anoint the four-corners and center of the petition with Kiss Me Now Oil and then fold it towards yourself three times. Rotate the petition one turn clockwise between each fold.
Next, carve your own name down one side of the red candle and the name of the one that you wish to attract down the opposite side. If you don't have a specific person in mind, simply write the words "my lover" or the words you used on your written petition. Hold the candle so that its tip points out away from you and then anoint it with Kiss Me Now oil stroking it towards yourself 3, 7, or 9 times making your petition as you do so.
Take your pins and stick one through the candle going one way, and another going through the candle another way so that form an X. Finally, set the candle in a holder with your written petition underneath. Light the candle and make your prayer or petition saying:
"Like a moth to flame, or a bee to honey. Like a river flowing into the sea. With God's blessings may my lover come to me tonight and submit to my desire. In Jesus' name. Amen."
If you are working on a specific person, then substitute their name for "my lover."

ROOTS FOR UNCROSSING
How to Alleviate a Curse Cast Upon You
"According to Clarence Otto at the Museum of Folk History, the best way to ward a curse is to put your own curse on the cursor."
Julia Sugarbaker Designing Women
Season 1 Episode 10, The Slumber Party
Original Air Date: December 18th, 1986
Curses are a malevolent type of spell the effects of which can range from bad luck to death. Curses can be placed on people (Longinus), places (King Tut's Tomb), and things (The Hope Diamond). The motivation for cursing can include Envy (Snow White), Revenge (Tecumseh), Punishment (Angel, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), to Teach a Lesson (Brother Bear), or to protect an object--mostly from theft (Religious Idols and other Holy Objects) or places (Shakespeare's Grave).
The belief in curses can be found in virtually every culture and they are mentioned in the sacred texts of many religions. Most religions forbid the practice of cursing, while others, citing the use of curses in their holy books, utilize them to protect their selves from their enemies and other forms of evil. Every religion has a form of blessings intended to protect people, places and things from curses. Non-religious individuals believe that curses are a product of the mind and are psychological in nature. In a sense, people "curse" themselves because they believe that they are cursed.
Some curses include their own cure, for example in the Fairy Tale of The Frog Prince; the frog had to obtain a willing kiss from a Princess in order to become human again. In other cases, curses remain through the ages despite attempts to remove them. Most methods of removing a curse will fall into the category of a Cleansing, a Reversing, or a combination of each.
Cleansings involve removing the curse from the individual/object and keeping it from returning. In these cases the negative energy of the curse is often transmuted into positive energy. Methods of cleanings include but are not limited to the following:
Reversing involves sending the curse back to its point of origin where it will play out as it has been directed when it was cast. Methods of reversing curses back to their sender include but are not limited to the following:
Finally, there are those rare methods that fall into neither category such as in the example given at the beginning of this article. In that example a person who has been cursed has been instructed to put their own curse on the person who has cursed them. This method seems to be neither a cleanings nor a reversing because the method does not remove the curse placed upon them. Instead we have what seems to be the magickal equivalent of blackmail, except that you do not have the psychological advantage of informing them that you have cursed them. However, it could be argued that the method of cursing your cursor is both a cleanings and a reversing as your curse constitutes a spell in and of itself and may or may not call upon a Higher Power for divine retribution. The act of placing a curse on your tormentor can be very cathartic and may represent a healing for the individual. Some may argue that sending a curse back to its point of origin is a curse in and of itself.
In my research I found at least one instance of employing a curse against someone who has cursed you, although I am sure that there are more examples. Denise Alvarado in her book, Voodoo Dolls in Magick and Ritual states that “[one] way to reverse a curse is to create a voodoo doll of the person that cursed you.” She then instructs the reader to ritually burn the doll with the intention that as the doll burns away the curse placed upon you by the person will be transformed into “something harmless."

Use a Black Walnut Tree to Break a Spell, Jinx, or Curse
Most folks are aware of how you can use black walnuts in a bath to ride one self of any and all emotions for a person. This type of bath is usually done after the end of a relationship and helps you to emotionally detach yourself from the individual and put yourself in a positive space.
But did you know that you could also use a black-walnut tree to rid yourself of a witch's curse? To begin, find a black walnut tree growing in a secluded place and call it after the one who cursed you. Draw an X on the tree and drive a nail in its center part way. Everyday, drive that nail in a little farther.
If the one you name is guilty, they will feel the pain of that nail. When they can't stand it anymore, they'll come for you, or send someone to borrow something from you. If you give them what they want, it will break the power of the nail and they'll keep tormenting you. If you don't give them what they want, they will have to stop or the pain will kill them.
Alternately, some folks say you don't even have to know the name of the person who cursed you. You just name that X saying "this is the person that hexed me." Then drive they nail in the middle part of the X. Every day you go back and drive the nail in a little deeper as before. After a few days the person who jinxed you will start to feel the pain of that nail and either they'll come around wanting to borrow something from you or they'll send someone to borrow something from you. Whatever you do, don't give them what they ask for. Lie if you have to and say you don't have what they want.
You see, some part of their spirit will know that what you've done and they'll also know that if you lend them something it will break the working and they'll have fixed you forever. You just keep going to your secret place every day to drive that nail in a little farther and make sure no one sees where you go! Eventually the person will see that you mean business and take the spell off you because, as some folks have it, if you drive the nail in all the way the person will die from their pain.

To Lift a Hex or Jinx
Shortly before sunrise, prepare a spiritual bath which includes Hyssop. Set two candles on either side of your shower or tub and light them. Soak in the bath for at least 10 minutes as you contemplate that which you feel is separating you from God and keeping you from the gifts that he has to offer you. You may wish to read the 51st Psalm as you meditate.
When you are ready, begin pouring the water over your head as you say “Cleanse me with Hyssop and I will be clean, wash me and I will be whiter than snow.” When you are done, stand up and step backwards out of the tub and pass between the two lit candles, saying: “In Jesus name, Amen.”
Before allowing the water to run down the drain, save a cupful which you will dispose of at a crossroads by throwing it towards the East over your left shoulder and walking away without looking back.
Write Psalm chapter 7 verses 8-10 on a square of paper. Turn the paper one-quarter turn and write your name over the scripture 7 times. Dress the four corners and center of the paper with Uncrossing Oil and fold the paper away from you three times, then set it aside.
Butt a black candle and mark it with your name. Dress the candle with Uncrossing Oil stroking your finger over your name 7 times saying “With God’s blessings, may this evil be removed from me so that I may enjoy all the good that I am due and more. In Jesus name. Amen.”
Set the candle in a holder and place the petition underneath. Arrange three votive candles around the black candle so as to form a equilateral triangle. Put a drop of Uncrossing Oil on each votive and light them one at a time in the name of The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Light the black candle and pray the 27th Psalm 7 times. When the candle is spent, dispose of any wax remains off of your property.
